Materiały gotowe na przyszłość
2025
Warsaw Home & Contract
In the face of climate change and escalating environmental challenges, the fields of architecture, design, and construction are at a crucial turning point — they must evolve. The exhibition “Materials Ready for the Future” proves that this transformation is not only necessary but entirely possible. It showcases a new design philosophy in which materials go beyond simply reducing harm — they have the potential to actively restore balance to our environment.
The construction industry has an enormous impact on the planet, accounting for around 40% of global greenhouse gas emissions. A significant share of these comes from embodied emissions — those generated during the production of materials such as cement, steel, and aluminum. These conventional materials not only deplete natural resources but often contain toxic substances; for instance, many widely used acrylic paints include heavy metals or volatile compounds that can negatively affect human health.
That is why conscious material selection is so vital — both for the well-being of people and the planet. “Materials Ready for the Future” presents real, ready-to-implement solutions that prove a different way of building is possible. The exhibition encourages architects, designers, and decision-makers to take action — to create spaces that are healthy, regenerative, and truly built with the future in mind.

Close to Earth. Sustainable design stories.
2024
Gdynia Design Days
The aim of the exhibition was to show the use of earth/soil in design and art. We focused on three scales of the built environment – landscape architecture, architecture together with interiors and product. The exhibition presented projects that use building materials, objects and structures based on the use of earth and clay. Samples of materials were available for visitors to touch and smell them, learn about their origin, production process and impact on the planet and health.
Exhibition co-curated with Malwina and Maja Skibińska. Created with support of Costka and Barwy Kaczawskie.

Mudita Kompakt
2024
Mudita
Mudita Kompakt is a minimalist mobile phone designed to promote digital well-being and intentional living. Featuring a 4.3-inch E Ink® display, it offers a paper-like reading experience that reduces eye strain and eliminates blue light, making it ideal for extended use in various lighting conditions.
Privacy is a core feature of Mudita Kompakt. It includes a hardware switch that cuts off GSM connectivity and disables all microphones, ensuring complete digital silence when needed. Additionally, users can disable the camera, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth at the software level, providing control over their connectivity and data sharing.
Its form factor is compact and softly contoured, consciously designed to feel calm and unobtrusive in the hand. The minimalist silhouette is free from visual clutter, aligning with the product’s core philosophy of digital minimalism. Every physical element - buttons, materials, texture - has been stripped back to the essentials, reinforcing the user’s sense of intentional interaction.
Mudita Kompakt has been recognized for its design excellence, receiving both the iF Design Award 2025 and the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2025.
Project completed as a part of Mudita Team.

Library of Sustainable Materials
Wise Habit
2024
Co-creation of the first Sustainable Materials Library in Poland — an initiative aimed at promoting responsible and health-focused design. Karolina curated the material collection and was responsible for the overall concept, research and visual direction of the project.
The library showcases regenerative, low-impact and innovative materials, offering valuable resources for architects, designers and educators who seek to create spaces and products that are better for both people and the planet.
